Today I received a call from Aunt and the next thing I know I will be helping my cousin plan his wedding. Isn’t that something to shout about!?! I’m so happy for him and myself too.
This time round, I get 1 year to work on the project. That means I could carefully plan my time. But I will be expecting more than 50 tables. Huge project it will be! I heard that many restaurants have already been booked out for the dates the couple has selected. Originally I thought a Chijmes wedding would be totally cool but they cannot accommodate 50 tables. I told my cousin about a Bird Park wedding and he jokingly answered “do you know how old am i now?” Well I have a few Chinese restaurants on my list now and shall be making calls to them tomorrow. The one that tops my list is Dragon Phoenix. Good food, warm ambiance, excellent customer service and table serving.
I’m not sure if you did some homework around. What outside florists charge for the decoration setup alone starts from $2.5K to anything beyond $25k! Well I guess you have to justify it as only paying it once for a truly memorable experience. Then again, the couple has a bigger budget than Elaine. I will consider the various packages, see which items can be outsourced and handled by myself. The amount less is still significant for me to work on bigger stuff! This will be a huge additional to my portfolio!
